A
standard tapping machine is placed in operation on a test specimen
that forms a horizontal separation between two rooms, one directly
above the other. The
transmitted impact sound characterized by the spectrum of the
space-time average one-third octave band sound pressure levels
projected by the tapping machine is measured in the receiving room
below. Reverberation
time inside the receiving room is also measured for room
absorption correction. |
